 Description

Paragon Titanium Pad Shims are a simple yet highly effective upgrade designed to improve heat management and braking consistency during demanding track and performance driving. Engineered for track-day enthusiasts and racers, these shims act as a thermal barrier between the brake pads and calipers, helping protect critical braking components from excessive heat buildup during repeated high-speed braking.
Manufactured from Grade 5 titanium (6AL-4V / ASTM B348), these pad shims feature significantly lower thermal conductivity compared to steel. Installed between the brake pad backing plate and caliper piston, the titanium material helps reduce heat transfer from the brake pads to the caliper and brake fluid, lowering operating temperatures and improving overall braking reliability.

During aggressive driving or track use, heat can transfer through the caliper pistons and raise brake fluid temperatures, causing fluid fade and a soft pedal. Paragon Titanium Pad Shims reduce this heat transfer, helping maintain pedal feel, braking modulation, and consistent performance.

Titanium pad shims help protect caliper seals, dust boots, and brake fluid from heat damage, extending component life and reducing long-term maintenance costs.
