As a performance leader in the brake systems sector, Goodridge understands that consistent stopping power is only as good as the quality of its components. This philosophy extends from the complex to the mundane, and in the case of brake lines, these particular components either can form a significant bulwark against systems failure, or create more problems than they’re worth.
This is why Goodridge is entirely committed to the highest levels of quality in its component production processes ranging from the materials it uses, to the processes that manage its quality assurance validations. Here are only three of the ways these real-world assertion are supported:
- Goodridge is the ONLY performance hose manufacturer that applies a 100% pressure test to every fluid transfer assembly.
- Goodridge is the ONLY performance hose manufacturer that serves as a tier one supplier to over twenty-five brand OEM’s worldwide including historical marques such as; BMW, Aston-Martin, Jaguar, Bentley, Lotus, Triumph and Morgan.
- Every Goodridge performance brake line is fully TUV, ISO, TS, ABE, ADR, DOT approved.
Whether a customer is a hard core racer, or a simple performance fan, Goodridge brake lines provide for the best all-round consistency and confidence for any type of driving.
Goodridge History Showcase
As a leader in the fluid transfer market Goodridge LLC was founded in 1969 by Stuart Goodridge in Totnes, Devon UK. After experiencing a successful career as a professional racer in Canada, he realized that the racing industry was commercially underserved when it came to the production and delivery of critical fluid transfer products, and consequently began to create his own specialized components targeting both the racing, and aerospace industries.
By 1988, the Totnes manufacturing hub had become successful enough to merit a larger facility in Exeter UK, while simultaneously opening remote Goodridge facilities in France, Germany, Spain, Holland, and Mexico, in addition to two facilities in the United States. In 2013 Goodridge was acquired by Rubicon Grovepoint, LLP, and the business decision signaled further growth in the form of an additional 3 million pounds in investment ($3.9US) capital.
The company’s value message has been consistent since its inception, calling for the utmost in quality, and a hard eye toward constant improvement. This philosophy has served the company well, and allowed the penetration of a host of specialized markets during its 28 year life cycle including; consumer automotive, motorcycle, defense, and a number of industrial niche markets, while continuing to maintain its original motorsports and aerospace business focus.
Goodridge Quality Assurance Testing
Goodridge products are manufactured and certified under a host of global standards including the ISO9001 . This core process validation doctrine is considered to be the most widely applied industrial standard in the world.
The most current version of the ISO family is 9001:2015, and consequently Goodridge’s operations are certified and consequently guided by its tenets. In this case the goal is to ensure constant quality throughout a particular company’s product-chain, while also rigidly mandating core requirements driven by constant improvement.
In Goodridge’s case, this means that the customer can be ensured of:
- Higher levels of customer satisfaction
- Lower cost
- Reliable quality throughout a particular product mix
This commitment to quality is represented by the simple fact that every brake hose in each brake line kit is pressure tested before it leaves the factory. This level of testing is unique to Goodridge.
