They are the ultimate suspension upgrade you’ll ever need for your hardworking vehicle, especially when hauling heavy loads, going off-road, or towing a trailer.
Tough conditions demand tough truck shocks. The large bore KYB MonoMax provides the additional stability that heavier, more powerful or high center of gravity vehicles demand. The KYB MonoMax is a heavy duty monotube shock absorber that provides the most handling, control and durability of any KYB shock; and its just for trucks. The MonoMaxs tough design automatically adjusts to driving conditions with fade-free performance. The KYB MonoMax has an outstanding reputation for vehicles that do real work, go off-road, tow a trailer or haul heavy loads. It uses a work-ready, zinc-coated steel piston ring and includes an off-road dust boot.
Designed to provide increased stability required by more powerful and heavier vehicles, the KYB MonoMax Truck Shock Absorbers and Struts are engineered based on the principles that have paved the way for KYB Gas-A-Just shock absorbers to gain worldwide recognition for quality engineering, maximum ride control, and superior durability. But what sets them apart from the Gas-A-Just is that they combined the monotube high pressure design with a 1/2" diameter hardened piston rod and a large diameter piston to meet the increasing demands of most popular pickup trucks, SUVs, and 4WDs. Their piston rings are made using premium stainless steel and coated with a zinc finish to provide a positive seal even in the most extreme conditions. Their ultra-smooth piston rods are also chrome plated to minimize seal wear, and they use only a multi-lip, synthetic oil seal that helps keep fluid in and a wiper that prevents oil contamination. Rubber boots play a critical role in these assemblies too as they offer excellent shaft and seal protection.
