 Description

Street Brake Pads
Hawk Performance's HP Plus brake pad compound is perfect for Autocross and Track Day drivers looking for a high-performance race compound. HP Plus uses a high-tech Ferro-Carbon friction material for autocross, Solo II, and "track day" applications. Ferro-Carbon has reduced wear and higher torque than other materials. Extremely high coefficient of friction makes HP Plus the right modification for high-performance streetcars utilized in autocross competition or that suffer repeated, hard braking. Brake pad life, noise, dust, and rotor wear may be adversely affected by this product's extreme friction levels. Hawk Performance burnishes its HP Plus brake pads in the factory, however, all brake pads must be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used). Properly bedding-in new brake pads create a transfer layer at the pad-rotor interface to boost brake performance.
High Performance Street disc brake pads are legendary for increasing stopping power on street-legal vehicles. Increasing the performance of your vehicle's braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performance's HPS braking compound. The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20 to 40 percent more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you will have better pedal feel and more consistent performance in a durable brake pad that generates less brake dust.
