Despite months of effort during their bankruptcy process, a viable solution wasn’t found, and the difficult decision was made to cease operations for these North American units.
What does this mean for your car? Currently, this wind-down is specific to the brake, Cardone, and Autolite divisions. Other First Brands lines – like FRAM filters, TRICO wipers, and their towing accessories – are continuing to operate as normal for the time being.
But for the braking world, this is a massive…breakpoint (a-thank you). Raybestos has been a staple for over a century, and StopTech has helped to define aftermarket brake performance for decades.
While it’s sad to see them go, the most important question for you is: Can I still get parts? What if I need a replacement rotor?
