Wilwood's forged aluminum Front Hub Kit for the 1990-2005 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a lightweight and fully functional alternative to aftermarket OE-type steel replacement hubs that deliver significantly greater durability and longevity versus aftermarket OE-type steel hubs. With its revolutionary ProHub architecture, any brake kit designed for the factory spindle and hub may be installed with a single bolt-on installation. When using ProHubs, you can get rid of the one-piece sealed ball hub bearing design. Spindle collar and lock-nut system with separate and wider spaced inner and outer tapered roller bearings for enhanced hub support and load-bearing capacity, thanks to a specially designed spindle collar and lock-nut system. Periodic bearing lubrication and upkeep are simplified, yet bearing preload can be adjusted manually indefinitely.
Wilwood Front Hub Kit is made of lightweight forged aluminum that has significantly improved performance and durability compared to aftermarket OE-type steel replacement hubs. They are designed to be used in racing situations. The new Willwood Front Hub Kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock spindle and hub and works with any brake package. Unlike traditional ball hub bearings, ProHubs do not have a single-piece, sealed ball design. For enhanced hub support and load carrying capacity, a specially designed spindle collar and lock-nut system features separate and wider spaced inner and outer tapered roller bearings. It is now easier to do routine bearing lubrication and maintenance, and the bearing preload can be adjusted completely manually and infinitely.
