Wilwood 2-Piece ProMatrix Rotor Upgrade kits provide considerable brake performance increases to racers and enthusiasts who are still using the factory brake calipers from the vehicle's stock suspension. High-performance pad compositions are specifically chosen to deliver improved brake response while also providing greater resistance to fade over time. There is an option between two-piece directional vane GT Spec-37 rotors, which provide high-temperature durability for the track, and SRP drilled and slotted black e-coat rotors, which provide high-tech style while also providing corrosion protection when city driving. Wilwood Promatrix pads are made from precisely selected compounds that provide improved performance through better friction qualities and a wider temperature range.
This ProMatrix track rotor kit was developed for competition as a direct replacement for the 12.8” diameter front rotors found on all 1997-2004 C5 models, and all 2005-2013 C6 base model Corvettes. GT-48 directional vane Spec37 race alloy rotors are mounted to the OE hubs with lightweight forged aluminum hats to deliver maximum thermal stability, cooling efficiency, and durability in sustained high heat braking cycles. Use these rotors for all types of auto-cross or road course competition where race compound pads are being used in the OE calipers, or with any aftermarket caliper kit made for use with the OE dimension rotors. Wilwood also offers three pad compounds for use in the OE calipers covering all types of vehicles from dual-sport street and track prepped cars, to dedicated race-only applications. Brake pads must be ordered separately.
Wilwood's 2-Piece ProMatrix Rotor Upgrade Kits outperform the factory brake rotors in terms of stopping power. No matter if they are installed in a one-piece or two-piece configuration, ProMatrix rotors are designed for drivers who use original equipment factory brake calipers and high friction pads. ProMatrix rotors are designed to withstand high temperatures and have a black e-coat for corrosion protection while driving on city streets. A lightweight aluminum hat is used in the construction of two-piece rotors to save weight.
