Wilwood D52 twin-piston caliper kits are two-piston calipers that replace the factory calipers and use stock rotors. It has stainless steel pistons and high-temperature seals, while its body is composed of forged billet aluminum. Designed for street and track use, these performance caliper kits are low-maintenance, light, and dependable. Its innovative design overcomes the problems of rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that affect other OEM calipers. The front and rear pads and sliding bolts are included in these enhanced red powder-coated D52 caliper kits. Meanwhile, the D154 Rear Caliper Kit from Wilwood is a straightforward bolt-on 2-piston alternative for the factory original single piston "Metric" calipers seen on many aftermarket application rears. With the added benefit of reduced rear piston dimensions (1.96 sq-inches of area), which isn't generally found in OEM calipers, this caliper kit provides proper front and rear bias. The forged aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competitive type high-temperature seals eliminate rust, bore pitting, and seal failures. For the street and track, D154 calipers offer low-maintenance performance, significant weight reduction, and high-temperature dependability. The D52 calipers use the original model D154 brake pads and an OE M10-1.5 banjo bolt brake line installation.
SLC56 front calipers are engineered as a high performance street and custom replacement for Corvettes and hot rods using Corvette suspension. These kits combine the high-tech styling and superior performance of the SLC56 calipers with the positive response, long wear, high fade resistance, and easy clean properties of the BP-10 compound Smart Pads. These kits are a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE calipers on all models of the C5 from 1997 to 2004, and all base model C6’s from 2005 to 2013 using the existing 12.8” diameter OE dimension front rotors. The calipers attach directly to the Corvette spindle without the need for brackets or adapters and accept all types of OE banjo bolt style brake hoses.
The D52 caliper is a simple two-piston upgrade for many 1968-96 GM automobiles and trucks. Using forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competition-type high-temperature seals eliminates rust, bore pitting, and seal failures in OE calipers. D52 calipers are perfect for both the street and the track. 1978 saw the introduction of Wilwood's D154 Front Caliper Kit, a direct bolt-on 2-piston replacement for the OE cast iron "Metric" calipers seen on many mid-size GM cars and compact trucks. GM utilized this caliper until 2002. Rust, bore pitting, and seal failures are eliminated using forged aluminum bodies and stainless steel pistons. D154 calipers are low-maintenance, light, and reliable. D154 calipers use OE D154 brake pads and M10mm x 1.5 banjo bolts to mount brake lines. Most wheels can use D154 calipers.
