DBA 5000 Series T3 rotors share all the same leading technology as our 4000 Series, but in a two-piece rotor. Featuring an aluminum hat for lighter weight, better heat dissipation and lower maintenance costs make for the perfect race rotor.
The DBA 5000 2-Piece T3 Slotted Disc With Black Hat is a 2-piece composite brake rotor. DBA uses high carbon cast iron rings and aerospace-grade aluminum hats (T6061-T6), secured with NAS bolts and crimp nuts. It helps reduce weight and improve heat control. Less unsprung weight equals less heat transfer from the disc to the hub. DBA also offers both new and replacement hats and flat disc rotors (rings). These flat discs are compatible with DBA 5000 Series headgear (rings). DBA recommends the 5000 Series for track days and club racing.
  • Hat and rings are sold as complete assemblies and separate components for cost-effective replacement.
  • Symmetrical slots and/or chamfered drill holes help remove friction dust and gasses to improve pedal feel.
  • An ultra-lightweight 6061 T6 aviation aluminum center hat/bell that improves vehicle handling and reduces heat transmission to the wheel hubs.
  • The aluminum hat is anodized to resist rust and improve its look.
  • Heat treatment cycles realign the iron microstructure, improving rotor stability and durability.
  • The Kangaroo Paw vein design improves heat dissipation and brake life by up to 20%.

The DBA 5000 2-Piece T3 Slotted Disc With Black Hat is an excellent alternative for performance braking rotors. The 5000 Series includes DBA's patented world-renowned T3 bi-directional slot design. Based on DBA's T2 slot design, the T3 slot adds more precise CNC machined tri-symmetrical slots for a quieter, more agile, and smoother braking experience.

T3 slots allow more brake pad friction dust and gas to escape, improving the consistency and efficiency of every brake stop. Due to DBA's unique universal slot design, standard rotors do not require separate left and right slots. DBA's 5000 Series T3 rotors are ideal for street driving, 4x4 and SUVs, light utility vehicles, track days, club racing, rally cars, and armored vehicles.
