Centric premium rotors utilize an Electrocoating finish that provides long lasting corrosion protection. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. Phosphate finishes utilized by other manufacturers provide only minimal protection from the elements; these finishes are generally only effective for the shipping and storage portion of a rotor’s life. The addition of heat and moisture eliminates the effectiveness of phosphate finishes resulting in immediate corrosion once installed in the vehicle.
Every Centric Slotted Rotor is made from a Centric Parts blank casting and coated for corrosion protection. Centric Rotors look excellent behind custom wheels, improve brake pad bite, and help wipe away debris. Most Centric Rotors have black e-coating on the hat, inside the cooling vanes, and on the outside edge. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish that resists rust for 400 hours. This is especially critical for the hat's hub flange and back wheel face. Rust in this location can cause lateral runout concerns.

Centric works with foundry partners to boost molybdenum or carbon content of castings and adjust cooling rate throughout manufacturing to reach hardness and tensile strength requirements. Almost all Centric slotted rotors have left and right slot or hole designs. Straight vane or pillar vane rotors are used for directing patterns to ensure holes never touch cooling vanes.
