 Description

EBC Racing RP-X Brake Pads are Ultra-high performance track and race pads built for heavier high-powered track vehicles driven aggressively. An ideal choice for the most demanding automotive applications, RP-X offers a very steady high friction coefficient of 0.55μ (Mu) up to and beyond 1562°F . The high friction level is usable from a cold start, making it ideal for autocross, sprint races, timed track events and hill climbs.
Note: The RP-X pads are not allowed to be used on public roads in EU member states. However, because this material has good cold performance, RP-X can be used to drive to and from motorsport events where local laws allow. However, EBC Racing stresses that RP-X is designed for maximum track performance, so expect increased brake dust and noise levels. RP-X disc wear is equivalent to other popular track and race materials but is much more than EBC Racing's other track pad RP-1, resulting in significant quantities of brake dust. RP-X features a 25% higher friction coefficient than RP-1 and a far better initial bite than RP-1. This feature may make RP-X better suited to heavier cars. EBC Racing's other track material, RP-1, may be better for light-to-medium-weight vehicles, cars with non-EBC Big Brake Kits on them, or cars without ABS.
