EBC Apollo calipers are lightweight aluminum brake calipers with a 2-piece bolted construction that incorporates high-tensile 12.9 Grade steel bolts for caliper bridge section reinforcement, resulting in a sturdier bridge section. This technology results in a more robust and responsive pedal feel, which is particularly noticeable after a period of forceful braking. Heat-treated low-pressure castings are used to manufacture the Apollo Series caliper bodies. This approach is significantly more expensive than gravity cast machining, but it dramatically improves the completed part's consistency.
Rather than using a fade-prone powder coating technique to finish the calipers, EBC elected to employ their breakthrough high-temperature PTFE polyester coating process. Unlike powder coating, which fades over time, PTFE polyester coating is durable and fade-resistant, easy to wipe clean, and will continue to look excellent for years to come. EBC Apollo calipers are available in four eye-catching colors to accent and complement your car. Because they use a standard pad design that is compatible with various race formulations, using an EBC caliper does not require you to use EBC pads.
